lol ofcourse we can not cherry pick with Waca game if we want to be objective. may be we can look at SC/UAE even SA where many games are held. I am not contesting Hazelwoods peak speeeds just his average above Shami for all his international matches considered seems very off, understandably so since it is not.

1. Avg speed in Ashes - doesn't count

2. Avg speed in India - already posted - doesn't count

Random opinion without any evidence - obvious and universal truth - Hazlewood is BhuvKumar level pace wise.

All i am saying is do not cherry pick look overall did you not find any game were he trundled to 132 its all in public domain for any one to see. No point in arguing.

So peaks are higher, lows are lowers and averages are same. Looks normal.

But still how that makes him BhuvKumar type bowler?

In certain tests that we do not seem to want to talk about he was Bhuv type bowler in terms of pace,  but ofcource he was in the channel and accurate but without swing so there are differences, so no straw-men there pls. Starc and Cummins played the role Shami and Yadav play for India.

All you guys have an an entry is Wahab lol..he could bowl 160 average with his ability and it will still be ok for opposition..

Wahab is aging now yaar and he is decreasing pace. We would like to see Hasan Ali come into the rankings. Shaheen Afridi is in pipeline too.

Hazlewood's average speed is right imo. He does average around 135 kph in some test innings but in the last ashes he was really flying in and hitting the deck hard. Also when PAK toured OZ he was pretty quick as well. Shami is capable of higher speeds but like we saw in SA he sometimes bowls well within himself. Hazlewood's pace is underrated just like Pidge's was.

Shami;s average speed on SA tour

1st test- 1st innings 84.2, 88.8

            2nd innings 84.6, 88.8

2nd test- 1st innings 84.8, 89.7

              2nd innings 85.3, 89.4

Third test speeds not available.  Series average speed 84.7.

Why do you keep quoting Shami's slowest test series in the last 2 years  !  That is not his usual speed in test matches after he increased his speed starting mid-2016.

(   By the way, Shami was quickest in the 3rd test where he bowled upto 91 mph. )

Hazlewood has hit 150 kph mark. Fast bowlers should hit 180 then.

Australia uses the highest of the 3 speedgun readings. Most other countries use the medium reading.

So many fast-medium pacers cross 150 k while bowling in Australia, as a result of this.

Pacers like Siddle and Ishant have bowled over 150 k in Australia ... and there are so many others.

Lol where is Bhumrah?:cantstop: What happened to Shami the phast bowler? :cantstop:

Indians are now seeing the reality of their phast bowlers. :cantstop:

I bet Gabriel to beat all of them in the future cuz he is so fast.

Shami is in the list.

Bumrah has not played 10 tests yet, which is the cut off.

I think it is page 93 of the Speed and Performance thread.

I will make an updated post of these test match speeds of Indian quicks every 6 months or so.

Is that an assumption or mentioned somewhere?

Vinay kumar bowled a 151 k in a ODI game he played in Aus.

Yes the trundler was averaging around 142-144 k down under, although a little he played there but looked sharp in contrast to his ability....for instance never did I see Ishant clock near 146-150 anywhere else barring Aussie land
