This story was of 2015 after his first season with DD when he scored nearly 500 runs for Delhi.He is just repeating it now to sound cool.

But ending up sounding desperate and doing his bit to attract the attention of feminists.

I seriously suspect that Iyer gets a massive kick from the idea that a girl propositioned him and he rejected it-years after facing the opposite.
It is his biggest achievement.
And TBH, he comes off as the awkward yet condescending Tam Brahm Bhaiya who wants to get a gf but can't because he doesn't have the swag plus parents won't approve of him breaking his culture codes.

It is not Love , Luv - as in Luv-Kush.
I have seen all of his films-except SKTKS and while they are enjoyable, they all have the same storyline and same moral-Girls are Dangerous, Girls are Immoral, Girls will loot your money and make your life hell, better stick with your bros who are the best invention in the world after a Homo Erectus invented Fire.

All of us wants to be friends with a celeb and brag that the particular celeb is our friend.

Viral Kohli for example, has a famous liking towards beautiful girls and once rejected a girl because she was fat and he was a cricketer.
What condescension!

Iyer, though by continuously publicizing how he identified and gave a "potential gold digger" a taste of her medicine as his lifetime achievement, requires to see a shrink ASAP.
His current mentality is that of incels unleashing terror on women because of their unusual psychotic hatred stemming from unrequited lust.

No problem falling in love with a film star because she is compatible with you or just because of lust/love.
But the thing is, most cricketers tend to go for actresses or similarly accomplished famous women because they believe it will make them even more relevant in the Bollywood/ political power circles and the Page 3.
But the thing is, if one treats such a relationship as PR stunt aimed at maximizing the Page 3 coverage of the involved cricketer, then they are in for some rough chilled cold water sprinkled at 4 am in a Sub zero Siberian Environment.
We all how Anushka and Virat's "business strategy aimed at being the unbeatable Cricket-Bollywood power couple" ran into rough waters despite initial success
Of course it had with how Virushka got excited way too soon and essentially botched up their campaign.
But then again, if you expect too much monetary/material profit from a marriage, this is what that happens.
We saw how Hardik Pandya's linkups, KL rahul's linkups and even Jasprit Bumrah-Rashi Khanna died a slow death.
Never expect too much from a relationship nor use it as a pedestal for material gains.

And he is not from a rich family neither has a nice, attractive personal
Shreyas is not handsome at all.
However, the way he is pimping his achievement, he will soon become hapless target of rabid feminists out for their next prey for making women sound bad.
And TBH, he deserves it.

Wise words. Even as part of the "social media generation" I stay away from it, apart from cricket forums of course :giggle:

 

I use Twitter and FB for up to date news on my sports teams but don't have an account. Just use Whatsapp to keep in touch with people I care about.

Once upon a time, I won an art competition in my neighbourhood and received an expensive blanket as first prize.
Nothing really to brag about , but my family members, neighbour uncle aunties and I myself kept talking about it through the decade.
It was my biggest achievement ever.
As a girl who didn't take biology because of the drawing involved, it was real moment of pride.
I bet Iyer also takes extremely pride at this event where he rejected a girl because he sniffed out her golddigging motives.
That is OK, I completely understand him and let's be frank- I have never related with a cricketer ( or even another athlete) before I met the wonder called Shreyas Iyer.
But this story is fast becoming his career's highlight and he'll be eventually trolled for this.

On another note, Life has finally come to a full circle.
Cricketers(other than Virat, Yuvi and Mahi for obvious reasons) are getting airtime in a Bollywood Channel called Zoom.
All Hail Bunty Sajdeh Baba

Oh cool!
I am fortunately able to study my favourite subject Maths and not that Python programming sucks, but it was painful AF to search a proper coding teacher in Kolkata for +2.
That's why I always have regretted my decision to drop Bio and take up CS through the 2 yrs.
