We have no idea what he is doing.

 

My uncles nephews great aunts friends grandson works in BCCI. He told me over a bottle of Dom Perignon (or was it tharaa) that Pandya routinely carries the shopping bags for Anushka Bhabi. Maybe that is the reason.

Exactly, many fans are clueless as to his utility .... many think he is the specialist 5th bowler or the specialist 7th batsmen .... many want his bowling SR to be 60 or less, and batting avg to be 40+ .... when his value is in combining key elements of batting, bowling and fielding, along with never say die attitude, in to a package .... he bowls better than anyone in 1-7 and bats better than anyone in 7-11 .... His position allows Ind to have flexibility of having someone who can remain in the game one way or the other 

 

PS Some folks want Pandya to be replaced by 7th batsman, while some want him to be replaced by the 5th bowler, this conundrum shows why Pandya, who can do a variety of things, offers flexibility to the 11

He is not required. India can do with a specialist batsman or another bowler.Mostly with another specialist batsman.

he applied more then specialist batsman - vijay, rahul, dhawan, rahane .....nair bhi koi bradman nhin

He will always be incosistent with his batting but needs to keep the pressure up for 6 7 overs spells. At least this much he should aim to do.

Reg his role I think he will get full series. Make or break for him in tests.

simple - no rocket science

In 2015 Sl tor virat said they played binny coz they need 10-15 overs from someone so they can rest their fast bowlers...n when they found he was an upgrade to binny 

We dnt have the luxury of sachin, sehwag, ganguly now to bowl a few overs n give rest to main bowlers 

So pandya comes in handy

 

Then u also need some cushion in batting , so the need is both n he comes in 

 

N what bad has he done...scored a 90+ in Sa where everyone was struggling...scored 100 in SL, applied here in 1st innings. Gave cruicial breakthroughs in Sa in one test .....

 

The reason our team is struggling is not performing is becoz of specialist not performing , not becoz of pandya .

 

Lets not forget we won in 2015 SL tour with bits n pieces binny

2014 lords with binny n he helped drew us the 1st test in eng

 

Pandya avg 35 in test with bat , more imp he made a very 90+ in Sa......give ur question a rest to use it at a right place

He only bowled 10 overs in the inning where Ishant and Yadav had a SR of 102

he bowled better then ishant n umesh in 1st innings

he didnt get to bowl today 

so hows is his bowling hurting us ....even if u want a extra bowler.......till now a need isnt felt for an extra bowler as we are taking 20 wkts with ease

 

Also his job is not to take wkts, its to bowl 10-15 overs so main bowlers can have a breather
