Which indian roorkie pacers has a realistic chance of getting success in the intl arena?

For me, Siraj, Khaleel and P. Krishna looks intl.

 

Are they ready yet? may not be....

 

But these are the only guyz who look intl and fit...

 

There are some bowlers who look intl but spend most of the time nursing injuries - nagarkoti, Nathu (& one more Delhi kid just got out of U19 team....cant remember the name)

 

Porel looks down on pace after the injury...doesn't look the same bowler..

 

Other like Thakur, D. Chahar, Kaul, Jaydev etc... looks sub-standard... they look more in V.Kumar league.

 

Siraj , Khaleel and P Krishna are erratic at this moment.  We get to see some ordinary spells peppered with some exceptional spells...

 

Hopefully, one of these guyz go on to play for india for really really long time....

I would add Ankit Rajpoot in the mix as well. Could turn out to be a special bowler as far as test matches are concerned. Should have been played in England. A tall genuine outswing bowler who can get the bowl move both ways at a very decent pace. He should have been selected in place of Bhuvi.

Chahar still looks like he has potential for ODIs and T20s.

agree with the others though. Can’t believe Jayadev even got to play internationals

But he looks like a completely dumb guy...

Pace bowling is not just about pace, swing and bounce .... But also about setting up the batsmen and getting into the brain of the batsmen and out-foxing him ..

Only indian pace bowlers who did this was Zaheer Khan and to certain extent irfan pathan. ( From last 10 years). I have started seeing this trait in bumrah and I am pleasantly surprised about it....

We already have 2 completely dump bowlers in the side....Ishant and Umesh....we don't want one more...

Don't know if you watched India-A play Australia-A in the first match.

 

Chahar lacks bounce and extra pace.  Not that accurate either.  He looks great if conventional swing is on offer  ( which is rare or available for a very short period with the new ball  ).  At other times he looks mediocre or innocuous.

Rajpoot does not look dumb to me at all.  I have seen him set up batsmen often enough.

 

His only weakness is that ... he seems to lack that extra hunger for success.

May be true....

I could be wrong...my analysis is based on very small sample set... i.e ... Very few matches...

Infact I though my analysis was right after watching the recently concluded IPL....he kept bowling short, eventhough, batsmen were going after him...he didn't seem to have plan B.

Anyways, IPL should never be a yardstick to evaluate someone's talent

I am surprised you have put P.krishna into ODI...

 

I think he has the exceptional talent of extracting extra bounce from the pitch which can prove lethal...

 

Yes..he doesn't have the game for test matches right now.....I think in couple of years from now, he will be special...

 

Couple of years is a long time and so many things can change.... hopefully, he will be backed and continuously groomed

I am not saying that Prasidh is not test match material.  In fact, he has all the tools to do well in test matches, provided he can sustain pace and intensity.  

 

He has to play FC cricket first for at least 1 full season ... then play the Unofficial test matches for India-A and succeed. Only then will he be ready for tests.

 

But, he can be included in our ODI team tomorrow ... and that is what I was talking about.  

 

Same with Khaleel ... he can succeed in test matches too provided he goes through the steps I mentioned above.

Shovel Mavi is the biggest fast bowling talent in India now.  Can succeed in all formats in the days to come.
 
Kamlesh Nagarkoti has the potential to be a 155 k pacer in all formats ... and a star performer in ODIs.
Both are injury prone...I don't think they have the body to sustain such high speeds...

For the sake of India, I hope they stay fit to learn the trade and serve well...

Haven't watched the match.. But don't you think conventional swing with the new ball is a good and useful skill to have for T20s? He can bowl some tight opening spells and keep the opposition down in Powerplay overs

But the white ball does not swing conventionally after 4 overs or so.  Sometimes it does not swing at all.

 

And who will bowl after that if only 2 frontline pacers are played ?  Who will bowl at the death ?
