Is Indian cricket missing out on extra viewership by picking an ODI team bereft of the new-age entertaining stroke players  ?

This has been going on for a long time now.   Not just a few  months.

So, it doesn't seem to be that obvious to the decision makers.   Even during Kumble's  regime, we saw Gambhir, Yuvi and Parthiv play.  Preferring experienced players has been the norm for quite some time.

We don't know how much say kumble had in the selections though.

Read Kumble's interview after Duleep Trophy 2016, which he was watching from the ground, when he enthusiastically talked about the current form of Gambhir and Yuvi.

There are a  lot of people involved with Indian cricket now, who beleive that experience is the key.

I can't vote but If I'm allowed I'm voting for 2nd option. Indian ODI viewership is high because of MSD and other players who have won big time like Jadhav, Rayudu, Jdeja etc

Test viewership is nothing without mSD and co
