I would drop Pujara. He doesn't have the game for Australian type of pitches. Would be basically a nightwatchman. If he couldn't score runs on flat highways of Australia in 2014 against Harris/Johnson who were on their last legs and Starc who just started playing test cricket, no way is he going to score now against Starc/Cummins/Hazzlewood, who are in their primes.

Won't mind Rahul and Rahane swapping their positions. I would have Ashwin for the first test(just), only because he bowled well in the 2014 series. Bat first, bat big, score 350+ and the game is ours.

Well, I don't think they should have got banned for 12 months, the ICC rules for ball tampering are 2 match bans, I think CA overdid it, should have been 6 months. But the Australian public is pissed off with the team, but we are lucky in Australia we have a lot of other sports to follow, and the women's team is killing it and have been for a while. So we will be ok, we will bounce back.

well the way pakistan won was they stacked up on more seam/swing bowlers instead of spin. Aus prepared for spin and were shocked by the quality of abbas. Also they suck on these slow type of pitches in UAE.

 

In Aus, even though the team is ****..it's still their own backyard. Starc will not be the starc in UAE, he will be a force in AUS.

I expect actual team will be: vijay, rahul, pujara, kohli, rahane, Rohit, pant, ashwin, shami, bumrah, ishant

If guys like Vijay,Rahul and Rohit cannot cash in on the freak injury to Shaw,then they must be kept away from the Indian test team till eternity.

 

This is a golden chance for the 3 of them.
