Did it take such a big tragedy for us to get our **** together? Same thing with the surgical strikes, those came after the Uri massacre. We need to always be proactive, keep jihadis both in Kashmir and Pakistan on the run. Never let them settle down, none of that Ramzan ceasefire BS. We clearly have the capability to strike them deep inside their territory and those shameless cowards will never retaliate, only deny and push terror proxies in India. Their army must be the most cowardly unit in the world, all that nuclear threat is drama from their end...they don't have the resources/might/brains nor the guts to really challenge us in a conventional fight. I hope we don't have to wait for another Uri/Pulwama type attack to again strike their launching pads and terror training camps. Hope there is a shift in strategy henceforth, even Modi should realize that Indian public will get behind him if he can be on the front foot against Pakistan. For most of our history we were the defenders, hopefully now we change our style to one that is always on the lookout for the initiative. India needs to bolster her defense capabilities so that incidents such as Pulwama/Uri/Pathankot can be avoided in the future. We are fighting a tactical war with Pakistan and in tactics offence trumps defence. Now in conventional warfare the defending party has numerous advantages, the attacking party will have to outpower it by a huge ratio to emerge on top otherwise it will be a stalemate. USA can afford such an adventure because of their military, intelligence and economic might, but that might not work for us. In a conventional war we are safe atm even against China, thankfully we also have nukes and an advanced space program. We won't engage Pakistan in a long drawn conventional fight in the foreseeable future, because the cost-benefit ratio will be bakwas and other powers will step in. Moreover even their policy is to bleed India by a thousand cuts by presenting irritants here and there on a regular basis, with special focus on Kashmir. We do need to bolster our defense capabilities but can't allow Pak!s to have the initiative at all times. We can block 1,2, 3...9 attacks and the 10th one will eventually slip through. Not even USA/UK/Germany/France/Sweden/Russia/China can defend 100% of the attacks, and our geography and demographics in Kashmir with added burden of so many internal traitors presents us with too many challenges. So we need to attack the terrorists at their source point, never allow them to settle down. It is like batting on a green mamba or rank turner, no matter how well you defend one ball will have the batsman's name...and our enemy has no ethics/morality, they will attack innocent women/children if they have to. So apart from investing in our defensive capabilities we need to carry out more such raids, surgical strikes, air strikes etc on a regular basis to keep the enemy in check. Maybe they will lose hope once the costs of their policy become unbearable. How long do you think their civilians will tolerate strikes by the enemy in their neighborhood? And believe me their coward army will never fight a conventional war with us, they can only threaten and even if they foolishly do so they will get crushed. Keep on humiliating them, make the Pak terror handlers feel scared for their safety every night. zen Posted February 26, 2019 Posted February 26, 2019 (edited) At the end of the day, it is sad that Ind spends more time on debating what to do (even when it is required) .... and when basic actions are taken, they are celebrated as some action is better than no action ....
