Ankit_sharma03
Series looks well in our hand and its times to give Rahul, Pant, Shankar proper chances.....These 3 are high quality players 1. Shankar- not every day their wud be a collapse n he wud get a chance to bat above. Give him 3 remaining games at 4 Kick rayudu , enough of him . If kohli cant still see it that shankar is far better batsman then rayudu who is kachra of batsman - "Kohli ka WC jeetna banta nhin hai fir ". 2. Rahul - how to give him 3 games Rest dhawan and rohit in one game...make him open and in last game rest kohli .....make him bat at 3 or as an experiment send shankar at 3 in last game lets try rahul in one game at 4......rahul gives u more attacking option 3. Pant- Kick rayudu and we have place and pant gets in . We need a power player in lower order in hardik's absence FFS stop wasting time on rayudu .........4-5 saal ho gye ab tak samajh nhin aaya that he cant face quality pace attack on good surface . Are we waiting for him to be exposed in a pressure game against Rabadda, ngidi, steyn . Edited March 5, 2019 by Ankit_sharma03 Mosher, Gollum, GautiMaan and 2 others 5 Link to comment
zen
Pant should either open or play at 6 or 7 as he does not prefer the 1s and 2s game but likes to go all out for runs (somewhat like some WI hitters) Mosher 1 Link to comment
jusarrived
Vijay shankar , KL and Pant in all would have combined experience of less than 25 games going into the WC . Whats the point of giving them a chance now ? velu 1 Link to comment

Whats the point of giving them a chance now ? doesnt matter . they have enough quality . and have performed . remember many players - aja ly jadeja , sachin etc performed in their first world cup experience cannot replace lack if talent . gadha ghoda nahin banega . Whats the point of giving them a chance now ? Always been the case. 2011 WC - Kohli, Ashwin, Pathan < 30 ODIs combined 2015 WC - Binny, Axar, Mohit < 30 ODIs combined Although some selections were questionable, others were taken to the WC on potential. Of the three this year, Rahul and Shankar are in good form, have performed well in LOIs recently. Only Pant's selection is questionable since he hasn't done much in LOIs, but he hasn't played much in LOIs either. Give him 3 matches this series and the IPL performance to choose between Pant and DK. Link to comment
