Nikhil_cric
India - too many overaged players and batting looks very suspect. England - Batting strong as ever. Bowling is toothless apart from wood and Rashid. Moeen crap with both bat and ball recently. Australia - I'd like to see what they can do at full strength. An attack of Cummins, Starc, Richardson, zampa is not bad at all . If Smith and Warner are as good as they were, I have a familiar suspicion that they will peak at the CWC. SA - Holes in both batting and bowling. Not a good unit. May not make semis. NZ - Didn't look good while getting thumped by India. Bowling heavily reliant on Boult. SF exit at best. PAK - Decent outfit but not sure they can get the job done. Very inconsistent in both batting and bowling except the performance of Babar. Windies - Have the batting firepower to match the best and some damn fine fast bowlers to choose from and a great leader in Holder. Have not shown the pedigree to consistently win games in a row which is the biggest drawback of the team. On their day though, they can be a nightmare for any team. Might make SF for first time in 23 years. Dangerous outfit that can match England for batting firepower and OZ/SA/India etc for pace . Just lack good spinners. SL/BD/AFG - will get thrashed GoldenSun 1 Link to comment
Sonix768
India and England have been too good not to qualify for Semis. They might one or two league games but can't see them not making semis. They have players who can single handedly can take games away from opposition. Other consistent team right now is NZ. They have all bases covered though they havent been dominant in any departments. With the quality of players and their general A game in WCs, they could win 5,6 games and will qualify for semis. The final Semis spot will be contested by Sa/Aus/Pak, with Aus having huge edge with their return of premier batsmen and excellent bowling unit. SA and Pak might not look settled in any department but could spring up a few wins together and try to get in the semis. SL/WI/Bang/Afg Might win one or two odd games but they are too inconsistent and/or has one very weak department to be realistically qualify for semis. Link to comment
zen
There is no easy way to get in to SF. Like beat SA (which can crack under pressure), Pak, BD and AFG. Have to play all the teams and aim to win at least 7 of the 9 games No need to say, batting takes lead in batting friendly conditions. Bowling in bowling friendly. Conditions are expected to be batting friendly in Eng PS In fact, we are playing SA in our first game so it is unlikely to be under that much pressure relatively speaking. Then we take on Aus, which will be confident of taking Ind won after this series, and then NZ, which does well against us in WCs in SENA Edited March 8, 2019 by zen Link to comment

R!TTER
Only Aus looks like a confirmed berth for SF, even England isn't guaranteed a SF spot yet. Of course WC being in England would give the hosts a huge boost, so Aus/Eng/Ind in that order with the last spot being fought over by chokers/fixers/chuckers etc. Link to comment
