Beating a ' by now useless pappu ' is not such a big achievement . She is a light weight and has to work hard in coming years to be called a major leader. Yeah ,she wanted power and decision making completely under her control without any say from others .She talks very rudely with Snr professors, VCs, my dad told me. But hoping she does well this time beetle 1
Number Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 Hats off to her for going back to Amethi 2nd time. Huge respect for her. Yes she gets into unnecessary trouble at times but knowing lutyens media anyone who stands against the prince is bound to receive a lot of muck.

For reference sake, Sardar Patel is referred to as Iron Man of India, much before the statue was planned. You think she earned the equivalent title by defeating Rahul Gandhi in an election, even if its a Congress bastion and she gets criticism, which is usual these days for a politician? Agreed, I got carried away with euphoria behind her victory, Not India, but definitely that of BJP. She's definitely upped her creds within BJP by being a Modi-Shah loyallist since 2009. She was 25 yr old in 2002 when Modi Godhra saga happened and being fresh from media she wanted to get praise from Media . But she has altered her politics behind Modi-Shah now and stepped away from Advani group, good for her. But she has kept up the BJP agenda since 2014 and is the woman face of the party sidelining even Swaraj. Now, people are belittling her victory over Raga as though it is no mean feat and a foregone conclusion. He was being touted as the new emerging leader by Delhi media and they took every opportunity to undermine her, her educational creds and rumors about her alleged arrogance, etc. They don't like strong women and feminists who like to empower women undermine her because of her alignment. You don't know the congress eco-system and UP politics and how Amethi was a Congress bastion since 1970s , with the Ghandys. Just because RaGa didn't live up, it doesn't mean that the Ghandy hold in Amethi.Rae Barelly is to be downplayed. It was a huge victory for BJP and the people to throw the Ghandys out of Amethi. Those who have received such lofty titles have actually contributed big time for their country/society/community. Sardar Patel unified the nation including princely states post 47, his uncompromising commitment to national integration earned him the title. Well, She is one assured hardworking principalled nationalist with a shrewd brain. I remember a interview on India Today when media was up in arms against intolerance, her degree and butcher of Gujrat. Not just one but 2 India Today reporters and couple of other leaders from other parties were all united along with a viewing audience of around 50-100 people. They all were there to corner her. By the end, She turned whole plan upside down, effectively making whole debate between Indian public and the people on the stage. She was sitting among the people while those on stage including two India Today journos were made to look like anti people. Apart from mysogynysts stuff among people and leaders as biggest enemy, She has all the qualities to become atleast a Home Minister Gollum and coffee_rules 2
G_B_ Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 I think there are three things (a) Governance (b) Political savy (c) Hard work She has demonstrated that she has (b) and (c). Even after the elections she carried the body for her slain follower. It shows she plans to make this seat hers and if she manages to bring development to this area RaGa is best suited to staying in Waynawad. Even Rae Bareilly, BJP are closing in and Sonia got a vote share in the low 50s. Maybe its time the Gandhis fight from the RS. BJP will specifically target them in the North. If she can deliver on (a) then its time to take her as a politician who can rise right to the top. The BJP has seen an Uma Bharati who was a vote winner but was poor on governance. Gollum 1
mishra Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 ^ There are very few female politicians. Its not easy to be a female Politician. Look what happened with Priyanka Chaturvedi. Only time I was abale to digest and smile the way Congress was able to shut the NDA guys on tele was when Priyanka Chaturvedi was arguing. Lady is too good. https://www.indiatoday.in/elections/lok-sabha-2019/story/why-priyanka-chaturvedi-left-congress-and-joined-shiv-sena-1505925-2019-04-19 We need more female Politicians to clear politics

Which other politician worth his salt is rated based on these criteria ? After all the media/libs/opposition had their panties in a wad during her HRD tenure (Vemula, JNU, etc), she had a low profile in textiles, but she did excellent work there. Nobody bothered to report on it is another matter,
