Nahi bhai. This world cup is only 4 years after the previous. When Pakistan won, it was 5 years after previous. So this WC must've been in 2020 for Pak to have won it. Tough luck, they were so close.

Was really good match though. Entertaining to watch and probably best of this worldcup yet. I knew pak has some chance and edge over eng in icc events and in eng they always do good. Idk about greatest turn around  cause ENG even though are favorites but no way near to what great aus or west indies side were of past.

I know people who know much more about Pakistan cricket and admire Pakistan cricket yet being Indians. Let me give you some names. Sushmita Sen, Perizad Zohrabian, Raveena Tandon and Sania Mirza.

Untrue,I respect the game most above all and I have been a great admirer of Pakistan team sof the past-particularly from 1970-2000.For pure cricketing talent they ranked with the very bets in that period which is undisputed.

I meant reversal of fortunes in a single game.In this respect Pakistan's was above everyone's if you asess how weak the oponents were relatively who thrashed them in the earlier game.To be down and out in 11 consecutive games including 4 against England ,including a big loss against one of the weakest ranked teams and come back so spectacularly to beat the best team in the tournament or in ODI cricket is a remarkable achievement.In the period of a single match it is the best leap or ressurection.

At a time in late 90s I used to think there can never be a cricketer better than Wasim Akram. Pace bowlers will understand. You need that confidence is taking 3 4 steps and yet swing the ball. And then to contribute with the bat and captaincy. Absolutely brilliant

lol what? first of all the great 'art' which Pakistani pace bowlers took to regions is called tampering. Great bowlers from west indies never tampered with ball and still were way more successful than wasim (who was expert at picking tailenders). No doubt was quality swing bowler probably best swing bowler of that era but in this era he will get smacked by every batsman cause he won't get swing nor get reverse swing.

Now it is customary to tamper a cricket all to produce swing.Wasim would simply be unplayable in todays day and age.
