Going by this logic, did Pakistan deserve to win 92 world cup ? Once you are in Semis, if you win both the knockout games, you are the Champions. End of. Softens the effect of one-off toss advantages or other bad-luck scenarios, and guarantees a finals spot for one of the two top teams. The way these matches have gone, the best 2 teams now can get eliminated simply by losing the toss and batting 2nd.
