I agree, we have enough depth at home to give him rest for dead rubbers and against weaker sides. Shami and one of Umesh/Ishant/Bhuvi can carry the weight

He adapts quickly. His first test in SA, was bowling too short. Came back well in the second innings and the last two test matches. Same thing happened in England. Didn't bowl well in his first test but made a strong comeback in the next match.

 

As others have pointed out, Indian Pacers do well in India, so there is no doubt Bumrah will perform well, especially with reverse swing coming into picture.
