express bowling
They would have dismissed Hayden, Langer. Ponting etc. quickly ... ... and made all-rounders out of McGrath and Gillespie. Edited October 21, 2019 by express bowling Vk1, Mosher, Rightarmfast and 4 others 6 1 Link to comment
maniac
Depends though if we play no spinners it means has to be a spicy Perth type pitcher it’s prime. We beat Aussies on Perth with a much weaker fast bowling line up with Irfan and 19 year old Ishant so Bumrah-Shami-Bhuvi-Umesh- Ishant line up can be more than handful express bowling 1 Link to comment

Rightarmfast
They would destroy the aussie line up. Whether India or Australia. Their best batsman Ricky Ponting was haunted by a young Ishant Sharma. Imagine a 3 pronged attack at these batters. Against quality pace bowling, no batsman really is set. A better question would be - How would Rohit Sharma, Kohli and Pujara fare against Mcgrath, Gillespie, Fleming, Kasprowicz, Warnie. Edited October 21, 2019 by Rightarmfast Mosher 1 Link to comment
putrevus
^^^ Mcgrath would have eaten them alive, he was master of testing technique. That team would have won in Australia and India would have won in India. Both would have been close series. Link to comment

Yes, Gilchrist would have found it hard to score against this attack since yorker has been his weakness all his career, Shami and Bumrah would have got him out in 20s 30s. Matty Hayden was too mentally tough. Edited October 21, 2019 by MechEng Link to comment
