These players are running etc and their oxygen demand during game situation is quiet high. Their intake of pollutants is much higher than others who are sitting on stands. On principle this game should be cancelled. And the spectators should be refunded and Delhi should not be given any games in this time. PS - But principle matters less when is involved. Makes me puke. I believe if BCB pulls out, I would happily support it. We were saying how PCB were bullying SLC in the recent series. But we also bully BCB and SLC without saying anything. It does contribute to the problem. Even before stubble burning starts AQI in delhi was toxic. Stubble burning is an excuse used by politicians to deflect. Lack of population control has ruined my birthplace.

If that was the case, things would be bad all year round. It is always during stubble burning season which coincides with the lowering of temperatures.

Straight Drive Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 Poluttion due to vehicles is also a cause.

Cool nights lead to fog and when smoke gets attached to fog particles, it becomes smog. It is not the case in southern states. North East do get regular rains. Geographic position of NCR and west UP makes it worse. Lack of rain post monsoon, and multiple other factors have made the situation grave. We don't get smog here while people here to burn their waste but the smoke doesn't stay due the winds. Edited November 3, 2019 by rkt.india
