This idea of IPL teams looking to recruit players outside bcci domestic is great for players who have exceptional talent. 

 

They were calling it some Hinterland model...  Very innovative kind.  BCCI is always like a sarkari institution with no place for innovation.

Brar went to England with MI development squad during summer. Don't know why they didn't pick him in the auction.

Waseem Bashir gave trial to multiple teams but probably they didn't find him that impressive. He has pace but needs to improve. Some team may recruit him as net bowler for this season and pick next season like with Umran.

Really wanted Gurnoor Brar to be picked. 

 

So much pace and bounce with height and his Ranji debut was also great with a 4 wicket haul.

We need this kind of steep bounce at good pace.  Only way to counter those flat 4th innings pitches we are getting in tests these days.

Would blame Punjab kings for not picking him. They have no good Indian pacer. He belongs to their state.

Its good as long as they are picked as net bowlers, Do not think there is much info. on Brar-Its his 1st season.

 

Bashir was all over SM, I thought he had a good chance of getting picked but no one showed any interest is strange. Punjab and Gujrat should have shown some interest both are thin on Ind. fast bowlers. Gujrat picked Mohit Sharma who may or may nt have even 1 season in him at this point in time

Waseem Bashir was called for trials by KKR and Mumbai Indians before the auction. He is probably too raw and May have to be a net bowler for sometime.

Played U25 challenger trophy I think for JK...  Had he played VHT I think he might have got picked somewhere at base price.

and good height, which will be useful even when not much bounce is available. he is 6'4 or 6'5

Unusual bounce is rarely found at below 6'2" height and is usually more common among 6'4"+.

Depends on bowling action too. Hip dominant bowlers with high arm action get more bounce.

seems a bit taller, higher-arm action and more bounce than umran. looks like a serious talent - hope he gets to play some IPL games
