Stan AF Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 Read somewhere that Star Sports might lose to the tune of 1500 crores if the event doesn't happen and if i'm not wrong no insurance to cover the loss as well.

Sandeep99 Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 Yeah there will be losses but I believe it's better to let go of it this year. Cricket is the last thing on people's minds these days.
NameGoesHere Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 (edited) ^^ I have a somewhat contrary opinion. I don’t much care for the IPL and find it hard to believe how a tournament can be held without compromising player Or officials’ safety - even as late as July. I’m assuming zero crowds. But I do believe that if it’s held it will probably be a smash hit in terms of audience viewing and interest. If we’re still in a semi crisis state by July or, best outcome we’re past the crisis, an IPL, it seems time will be a breath of fresh air to an Indian public yearning to take in ‘normal’ celebratory sport and entertainment again. Stupid on star sports and BCCI not to have insurance. Wimbledon is getting paid for this pandemic. I read they paid for 36 million pounds for past years till now but might get paid 141 million.

And fielders huddling together, doing high fives, hugs, huddles etc to celebrate the fall of a wicket.

How does it matter if they aren't infected. like in a family, you have 8-10 members of family living together in a house. Just test all of the players to ensure they aren't infected.
