I think SKY can play that role in the Indian team, not seen him play reverse sweeps but he definitely is a innovative batsman. WTF is the purpose of carrying Manish Pandey with squad :facepalm:

It's more of a switch hit than reverse sweep. He turns his feet to a left hander.

Will we show the same patience with young players as Aus have shown with Maxwell. He was inconsistent, sucked outside Aus, could not play spin. But Aus have persisted with him for 7-8 years now. He now has s clear role and looks well settled.

 

Young players need that security and assurance. Sadly under our current TM, that is lacking despite both the coach and captain being beneficiaries of strong TM support in their teenage days. They back seniors but discard juniors after a couple of failures.
