pressure to put runs on board, as he is likely to be selected for 2nd test when we won’t have either Kh0li or Rohit. His footwork is abysmal for an opener, plants his foot with a wide gap between bat and pad. Suits MO

He could have batted two sessions and put enough runs on board.

The way this tour match has panned out, is how I expect the Test series to go. India will intially resist and put up a fight before cracking.

India with 5 Test batsmen at the crease if you include Gill. (yet to debut). Bowling is ordinary but I expect Bumrah and Shami to make a difference.

Its a very shameful performance.

Pujara is only 32 years old. Previously it was considered that 31-35 are peak years for test batsmen.

Not sure why a 32 year old would be declining already.

Problem is that Pujara is like an Old 32 year old man. He seems sedate and to lack energy.

As I said, if he can hold one end up, he has done well. I dont expect him to score big again in Australia.

Need to survive at least 30 overs

Not really. Need to survive 15 overs.

Australia chasing 100+ in 15 overs in a test will be hard.

Will be epic humiliation if we lose this:facepalm:

This is just an entree of what to expect to happen over 4 tests in Australia.

No wonder Kohli is leaving Australia after the First Test.

The current test team of 2020, vs the test team in the 00s.

There is just no comparison. The team of the 00s was superior in every respect.

The irony is that the test team of 2020 is more successful. Which says more about the standard of Test Cricket today.

Practice matches are for practice

Rahane and Pujara got to bat for a long time.

Vihari and Saha batted for decent times too.

Umesh, Siraj, Ashwin and Kuldeep got to practice what lengths to bowl in Australia.

This is what is more important.
