Ankit_sharma03
In past few years our TM has gone for safer options and delayed many youngsters debut but hope this gives TM confidence to not be scared of throwing these guys in pressure situations Siraj has been stopped for a debut when umesh has been a struggle away from India We dragged Dhawan, DK, Parthiv way to longer in test as well ODI- Yuvi, Raina, Rayudu, DK, Rahane all safe options created no.4 problem Aus tour is one the toughest and we have so many young heroes - Gill, Pant, Sundar, Natrajan, Siraj , Pandya (LOI) , Thakur ......they all bought this fearless approach which in the end proved to be a deciding factor Some more faith in our youngsters in pressure situation shud be shown as historically our top players have done well in tough situations at start of their careers Yuvi debut Rohit debut in 2007 t20 wc Pandya that famous over against bangaldesh Dravid-ganguly england debut Sachin in his 1st pakistan series Pant 100 in his debut england series diga, express bowling and bowl_out 3 Link to comment
express bowling
I hope this test series has sounded the death knell of the seniority culture in this Indian team. We have discussed this issue many times. In this Indian team, seniors are the first choices when two players are available for the same role. Current form and ability are not the considerations. Often, the presence of fearless youngsters and the exuberance of youth is needed blow away an apparently grim situation. We should start trying a couple of top performers from our A-teams in every series against weak teams. Let's not allow the seniors to be complacent about their positions. express bowling
Most important thing is ... young fast bowlers need to be handed debut by age 22 to 24. Fast bowlers are at their quickest between age 23 to 31 / 32. We need to make them reasonably experienced by age 25 / 26. So that we have a reasonably experienced pacer bowling at full pace from age 25 to 32. We can start with Prasidh. sandeep and diga 1 1 Link to comment
ShoonyaSifar
Unless BCCI extends Kohli's paternity leave, on 5th Feb, expect to hear/read this Saha is the GOAT wk for us in India. Pant has to improve his keeping to be a regular Gill still has to learnt to play on the home pitches Siraj was good on bouncy tracks, he will be useless in India Sundar can at best play as the 6th bowler Nattu is resting, Pandya should not have been picked in the Test squad. The one with thr best chances of playing our next test is Thakur nevada 1 Link to comment

Pant more so considering he played a pivotal role in Sydney game to save the Test & took India past the finish line at GABA. These are games that will be etched in memories of fans for a long time to come. Any captain & selector replacing them will face lot of flak not just from cricket noobs like us but from fans at large, so I think they should be safe.
