PunterLog Posted February 20, 2021 Posted February 20, 2021 I'd like to hear the opinions of Secular Hindus on this rally. Because if RSS had taken a similar rally, we'd be hearing about it 24x7 about Hindutva etc. Also, this rally isn't remotely shocking to me. This is the true behavior of Muslims in places where they have numbers. The "dara hua musalman" line is a tactic to keep fooling secular Hindus in places where Muslims don't have the numerical strength. speedheat 1
Gollum Posted February 20, 2021 Posted February 20, 2021 Centenary year of one of the biggest genocides in India. Look up Moplah Rebellion, the latest one, there were 4-5 genocides across 80 years in God's own country.
Yoda-esque Posted February 20, 2021 Posted February 20, 2021 There's no opinion. The pseudo secular Hindus will call you a fascist instead for bringing this up.

These people need a massive re-education campaign to prevent them from becoming a anti-civilizational force. PunterLog 1

China and Myanmar are doing the right thing with these people. The Chinese have my 100% support when it comes to the Uyghurs. If these people aren't nipped in the bud, it's only a matter of time before they gain strength in numbers and go after the Kafirs. kepler37b 1

The Uyghurs were/are a minuscule minority in a far flung mountainous province of China which is sparsely populated. They have been disconnected from the wider world for most of their history and actually have come into the limelight only after the Chinese have been persecuting them. The 'these' people that you mention are a good 16-18% of the Indian population with a prominent urban presence. The " Chinese model" is not going to work in India. For all you know, it may not even work in China. For an India that wants to be a challenger to China in this century, there is no other way except co-existence among different types of Indians. And mutual respect. Or at least developing a higher threshold for tolerance. EnterTheVoid 1

I am telling you if india tries to implement these laws ,the pushback will be from the usual suspects.

I don't know what laws France is trying to push. However, France has been an imperial power with centuries of history of suppressing natives. Of whatever faith. And the Muslims in France are essentially a few generations old. There could be legitimate problems with assimilation in that kind of a time span. I am not an expert on the French society, so I don't want to draw conclusions. Indian minorities have been Indian for centuries! The societal dynamic is simply not the same. What works for France *will not* work in India. We have to find our own solutions to our problems. All this talk of French law/ German Police/ Chinese Solution etc are just not apt for the India of today. Increasingly, I get the feeling, that NRIs have some strange dystopian view of Indian society. Like its a cleft state sitting on a powder keg. Just about to combust into a civil war. That is hardly the case. Edited February 21, 2021 by Mariyam

PunterLog Posted February 21, 2021 Author Posted February 21, 2021 Just now, Mariyam said: No. Then why did you say the % as 16-18 which includes all Muslims in India? I meant the Islamic radicals should be subdued by any means. Of course some moderate Muslims will come out to defend the extremists but the state shouldn't stop and destroy the extremists root and stem. Stop funding Madrasas with tax money and make an example out of any Islamic extremist behavior.

The rule is: no board affiliation, no central or state funds. Also no affiliation => in certain states, no permit to hold classes. Affiliation is actually a way to regulate content in Madrassas and decide on the pedagogy. And that I believe is a far better option than having unregulated Madrassas like we've had for the most part post Independence. The long term idea of the GoI is to metamorphose these into regular municipal schools with some extra classes for religious studies. Also, a little under 5% of the Muslim children study in Madrassas. You are probably conflating madrassas in India with those on the Afghan Pakistan border.

Extremists even if they are 5-10% are enough to create chaos particularly in the Islamic community as the remaining 90% never stops the 10%. Even in Kashmir during the Pandit exodus, most Kashmiri Muslims weren't involved but they remained silent and a few % of extremists did the job. Islam is the only religion where I've noticed that the moderates never go against the extremists. You'll see Hindu moderates going after hardline Hindus but I've never seen moderates in Islam do that. It's due to this behavior of moderate Muslims that many non-Muslims believe that there's no such thing as a moderate Muslim. Edited February 21, 2021 by PunterLog Laaloo 1

You might step out and not see it,but there's dangerous agendas being worked out in the background. You never see the mafia in public life either but you know they are there.
