kirkutfan
She is great. She was around as India’s premier bat when women’s cricket had no support system. She took India to a World Cup final in 2005 and then again in 2017. She scored a double ton in a test against England. And even now, she is better than many of the kids out there. She will probably retire after the next World Cup. But no, she should not be forced into it. Rather a player should by virtue of performance try to compete and beat her for a spot. She laid the foundation for the quicker scorers that followed later. The first two wickets fell relatively quickly. By the way, regardless of what happens here, she is a winning captain. She has a 83-53 record as captain in ODIs. She has a remarkable record by any standard. But even more remarkable when she filled the void in a country that until recently did nothing to support women’s cricket. She is an all time great in her sport. This bilateral will not change that. R!TTER
Should've retired 5 years back, much like Jhulan way past her peak! Link to comment
rageaddict
SA chasing today's score with ease. Whatever target Indian women set, SA chase it with ease. Link to comment

So that some 15 year old could get a free ride? No.. they should have to fight her for her spot. Even past her peak, she is better than those vying for a spot.. Ditto, Jhulan. Sure she is past her peak.. but then why hasn’t a new pace bowler emerged to bump her off? Again, we can’t give freebies to some one just because they are young. The kids should earn it. Lone Wolf
Rofl she played a ultra slow knock today.. Reminding me of Asia Cup game of SRT vs BD. India women lost the game. India Women's team need to look past her. Link to comment
