I hope Shastri is last batch of these oldies

And things get better going forward

Dravid is middle aged but he too seems to have s much better understanding of tests, decent understanding of ODIs and he is very conservative in T20Is.

Picking wickets seems to be a secondary objective in Indian white ball cricket. All they want to do is stop runs, which is basically impossible unless wickets are picked at various stages.

Probably too proud of the pregnant pace of their pace attack

Aaqib Javed with his "currently Shaheen has been more impactful than bumrah' is another pathetic outtake, Shaheens Sena test numbers ain't even comparable to shardul. They legit think the likes of Wasim junior, dahani, rauf are better then Siraj, prasidh, avesh, umran etc.

But Indian oldies control Indian cricket. And they firmly believe that pace will go for runs in white ball cricket.

Sadly, Steyn and Bishop have no say in what goes on in Team India.

Let Umran play for India .... he may bowl quickly in tests but may slowly lose pace in the shorter formats as there may be directions to do so.

Have you noticed how Prasidh was bowling slower for Team India in LOIs and bowling 5 kph quicker now ?

I am understanding from Shastri's statement why India has never produced a true Express bowler before and why so many Indians have lost pace in LOIs while bowling quickly in tests.

This also tells us why Shastri, the coach, was so good in tests and so bad in LOIs.

Prasidhs drop in pace was due to Injury and control, he went to his hard lengths after the end of last year's ipl, played FC cricket and did well, I guess every time he goes fuller he is a genuine quick bowler.

Look at his hard length balls in the last 5 matches or so.

Lots around the mid 140s

They will be forced to realise it ,the way LOI cricket is being played there is no other way out

Mohsin has already started bowling within himself.

Yes, he is still bowling well ... but this tendency is never good.  Unless they rectify themselves, pacers who start bowling within themselves become slower and slower.

Yes lot of slower balls in between. But the 140 delivery also looked pretty effortless

Mohsin's fastest balls are dropping in pace  every match.

Average speeds of non-slower balls are reducing too.

Often happens when there are fitness issues. Must work on his bowling fitness.

His ceiling seems IPL, doesn't look international class

He has fitness issues, looks laid back as well

Dayal looks have more tools to succeed was getting out swing for Left handers ,looked to pitch up

He also generates bounce near about same pace

All of dayals wickets so far have been getting batsmen out on the defence, hurries batsmen when he bangs it and gets movement while pitching it up, looks dangerous even while bowling within himself. Best left arm prospect. He should be in the test scheme atleast.

Haven't been able to watch matches due to office commitments, but tried to watch highlights wherever possible.
Mohsin Khan is bowling economically and picking up wickets as well, but something seems off somewhere, he doesn't look very energetic and gives a laid back vibes on many occassions.
I haven't seen him and Khaleel moving the ball in to the right handed batsman (welcome to be corrected here). That to be is a big off, specially if you're a left arm bowler.

I am not dismissing them totally, but at the moment they both are Wahab Riaz type gun barrel straight bowler who can only move the ball away from a right handed batsman.

IMO, they are still WIP, and might need another season before judging them (even Khaleel), far from consideration to nationals at the moment.
