Bumrah, Umran, Prasidh should be our pace trio against SA. I don't want any compromise in pace department. Your top 4 bowlers should be your best bowlers. 5th and 6th can be alround options. A left armer who bowls well at the death. But I think they'll go with Nattu. Shardul/Chahar will always be there. Bumrah should be rested. Butbhe should play entire LOI leg of England tour. Their current form doesn't matter. Going by the history though, Thampi-Khaleel-Unadkat played based on their IPL form, they failed. Most IPL successes decieve in internationals, atleast initially. Only conunter example is Nattu.

Only conunter example is Nattu. Apart from Sen and Tyagi all the others I have named have played for India A or even Team India. Tyagi has to go through the process. As I said, he is not ready yet. Sen has been playing FC for quite some time. Now, he will play for India A and hopefully will be ready to be chosen. Umran has played for India A too. And his case is special as he is too quick for batters to handle + he is so accurate. Have to strike when the iron is hot. Thampi has never played for India. Khaleel was picked early because of the fascination for left handers. And he did well in VHT and SMAT at that time. But he was too young and under cooked at that time. Unadkat was again a left armer quota pick. He has no perceptible skills to succeed in international cricket. Was bound to fail. P.S -- It is important to actually play quick bowlers when they have that extra pace + sufficient accuracy. Too much waiting and following processes means the winning product maybe gone. My comment was not about him. But Kuldeep Sen's domestic record is not great means he has not developed yet. Khaleel needs guidance, with him we need to be very specific about what he needs to do, and should stick to one format, whichever he prefers. Chetan Sharma though, said Umran and Karthik will get a chance if Coach-Captain agree. Edited April 29, 2022 by Chakdephatte Suhaan 1
express bowling Posted April 29, 2022 Author Posted April 29, 2022 Ex-cricketers talking about Umran Malik .... Dale Steyn ... Sunrisers Hyderabad bowling coach and fast bowling legend Dale Steyn has termed the Jammu man a "genius". My job with Umran is to ensure he runs fast and make players play differently. My job is to try and make him forward-thinking as to what the batters are planning on doing. "It's exciting for us to sit back and watch what a genius he is. I don't want to turn him into what I was, all I want is his geniuses to come out," Steyn said on 'Star Sports' 'Cricket Live' programme. WV Raman .... Former opener WV Raman, one of the most respected voices in Indian cricket, feels that time is ripe for Umran to be drafted into the Team India set-up straightaway. "He is a special talent. He has pace and now he is slowly picking up the ropes of fast bowling. When a young bowler has pace, don't wait for three seasons before you blood him. "If he is young and as quick as Umran is, you should seriously look at him," Raman, who has been a former NCA batting coach, apart from working with KKR and the Indian women's team, told PTI. "When Umran is bowling, you could hear that the ball is hitting the bat. But also when you have a bowler like that bowling at 150 consistently, then you also need good slip catchers as the ball will travel at quite a speed," Raman added. Devang Gandhi .... Former selector Devang Gandhi, however, feels that raw pace can be counter-productive as batters at international level can score quick runs. "I believe that India will bank on experience going into the World Cup considering that Australian pitches for the ICC tourney will be great for batting. "But having said that, in the run-up to the World T20 you can check out on various options and there is no harm if they decide to try out Umran and see what he can bring to the table," Gandhi, a member of the last selection committee, said. tweaker, Suhaan, Lone Wolf and 2 others 1 4

Knuckle balls in Australia will travel a long way. even in big bash from what I have seen 140k one dimensional pacers are also pretty effective. That’s why they impress and get picked in IPL where they get trashed. case in point Richardson, Counter Nile, Sams etc.

Yes we play against Saffers at New Perth stadium. The one Where we played a test match in 2018. Umran could be handful there. Set right field sets for top edges & we could get the best outta him. Arm delay depends on the type of bowler you are. It's easier for Side on knee dominant fast bowlers. For hip dominant bowlers, it's mostly about quick arm speed and making as big an arm rotation circle as possible which is talked about in the above tweets. Comparing Arshdeep with Mitch Johnson and Ellyse Perry is absolutely meaningless. It will be better to compare him with Mitch Starc. Edited April 29, 2022 by rkt.india Chakdephatte 1

In T20s that's not that big issue. India isn't a side that goes really hard at it. Batting depth is a overrated concept in T20 most of the times. Batting upto 7 should be good enough to last 20 overs.. If they aren't u need quality bowlers to defend 140ish totals.
