Yash Thakur definately was quicker than Mohsin today.

Mohsin still looks like he cannot bring the ball back in to RHB...  Like last season.

Doesn't look fully fit but did the job today.

What were his speeds in his last 2 overs ?

he put effort for yorkers and even reached close to 145k I think..he bowled some in 120s too..but probably slower ones..

what I noticed is that he still need more time with the ball however..he handled that last over very well..against two big hitters..who already had the moememtum after hitting Naveen's last bowl for 6..in the previous over..

he is also bowling slower that usual pace to not put too much pressure on himself while trying to achieve match fitness..

these last over bowling shows he is going to be back to his best after some more practice and matches..

also....

yes Thakur did surprise me today..with 140ks..he also has decent control..

all the more reason we see..the advices..these kind of bowlers are getting to bowl within themselves and line and length..and not building on their ability to bowl pace..are worrisome

Anyone who bowls at death will take higher number of wickets. Everyone who got the Orange Cap, including spinners, bowled a lot at death in those seasons.

I've been saying this for ages but since Bhuvi is at the the positive side of things today, these kids started learning new concepts.

He has every chance to play in 50 over WC in India, they will shrewdly give him a back door entry into the squad in the name of injury cover, replacement  etc

Alleging a team of faking injuries, nothing serious! Just a normal day on icf.

Why the hell us SRH having this Lara guy in charge? Like seriously wtf. Is this some retirement home lol?

What credentials does he even have in coaching? Literally every single tactical call is laughable and reeks of stupidity. Selection, field placements, batting and bowling order..

"You just have to look at the form of the player. We have great expectations of Umran Malik, and he has got Dale Steyn to work with. But we have to play each game to win. We have to put our best eleven out on the field. And now, with the Impact Player, our best 12. It's strictly on the fact that it's about the form of the player that we look at before picking the team"

Brian Lara also spoke regarding young pacer Kartik Tyagi who only played one match in the season so far. "We have 25 players, and I would have liked you to ask about Kartik Tyagi because he is also a special talent and he's only had one opportunity so far. I can't see anything wrong in terms of selection. I just feel that every time the team gets on to the park, we are not playing the game that we are supposed to.

So this moron himself points out Tyagi’s example to defend his stupidity. It’s a typical move of idiots.

Someone needs to put sense in this guy. Whatever he’s doing, hasn’t worked. Use some common sense and be bold lol. Every single thing he’s said suggests that’s he’s extremely risk averse. Guys like that can never be good coaches.

Btw I do think this Lara has got something against Umran. Lol. Obviously people r gonna ask when a guy like him ain’t playing. The fact that he was pointing out other players who havent got chances to defend his call was strange. Could have easily done it in a different way.

Yash Thakur is fast. Bowled 90 mph. Consistently over 140. He needs to get fitter though, lose some pounds. That 136k was a bouncer hurried the batsman hitting gloves, looked more 145 then 135.

Ipl has done him wonders, never really looked that quick in domestic but looks quicker, even Mukesh ain't a trundler, biggest downfall is Yash dayal kind of rated him for his ability to extract bounce and hurry good players

I think SRH will likely release Umran for next season.   And it would be better for him.

I reckon Mumbai or Punjab might go for him.  Both need Indian fast bowling option.  Personally MI would be better for him.  He has enjoyed bowling in Wankhede in the past as well.
