Tyagi is fine, just needs a minor change in line,

Which comes with more practice

awareness which he can gain by playing more,

He should try to play more FCs and really hope he gets released and lands a better franchise

I had huge hopes with the two South Africans Markram and Steyn, both of them were so unusual than last year, especially Steyn

Markram's captaincy was also poor yesterday, gave him 6th over of the pp. 6th over is the one over where teams try to maximize the PP. You need your best defensive bowler bowling that, not someone who has hardly played anything in the last 5 months.

I saw few of Tyagi deliveries, they were tad short, the slice over deep third man had no fielder there

Same they had been doing with no fielders there and deep fine leg

Green sliced one over deep third man rope for six, numerous times I have seen SENA sides and even Asian sides place a fielder over there to pick wickets while operating with 140+ pacers

It was very catchable on top of it few actual dropped chances were salt to the injury+bad lines from both Umran and Tyagi made it worse

I think he meant on a consistent basis... Madhwal is mostly a 132-138 bowler with odd ball hitting 140-142.

If he can up his pace by 137-142 with effort ball at 146-147

he does not need to as he is a very short skiddy bowler. Ball has to travel less distance than any other bowler because of the low trajectory ala Malinga. he has a good yorker which is the most important requirement for a T20 bowler.

He may get into low 140s but donot think he will be able to sustain that pace for more than 1-2 seasons, and just 1 injury down the road he will be back to his usual speeds.

if short 140+ bowler is needed then Deshpandey could be better option same height  and age, more pace  and FC cricket.

Pace is fine but pace is just one aspect. you need skills too. no batsman fears pace these days in LOIs. they practice against 95 mph side armers in the nets. 135-140 is enough pace if you have skills. otherwise even 150 is useless without control and skills.

Same, gun barrel 135-140 without skills is even more bad
