It was a high scoring match yesterday and the RR was 14.35 in the first innings.

4 pacers gave away even more than this

Unadkat   18.5 runs per over

Topley      17.0 rpo

Vyshak     16.0

Bhuvi        15.0

But these medium pacers are either sure-shot starters or preferred replacements while Umran amd Akshdeep are dropped after just 1 or 2 expensive overs.

Why ????

Most of these sure-shot pick medium pacers don't look that skilful or accurate even.

what  kind of a captain will select unadkat again and again when he has given 18 runs an over on average...............

GT's problem has been their batting should have added an Intnl batter - All their top order batters can not go at higher clicks.

Should have added some batter for Johnson and add Tyagi for Mohit Sharma in case they need pace, 3 Overseas bowler when your batting is a problem

Most there batters have low SR , so they are trying to Strengthen their bowling to counter fr potential low scores they be getting

Tyagi must be injured.

If he is injured again then sadly he should consider ranji. He needs to redevelop himself. Cause our selectors are allergic to pace and bounce.

It doesn't help when he keeps getting hurt. Definitely doesn't help when management don't know what to do with fast bowlers lol.

He isn't injured, neither him nor Sushant.

Both are fit, its just that mgmt don't trust them or they are advised not to play them.

Maybe once GT is out of play off race, they might give one or two games at the end as a token.

Then why did GT buy Tyagi ?

Sushant's case is different as he is an untested bowler at this level.

To insult and ridicule them...that you're even pathetic than a trundler like Nalkande.

It may sound like a rant but there is simply no other excuse I can find. Both of them has played U19 WC in 2020 and did well. Yes, I understand they are not a finished product. But that's where likes of Ashish Nehra has to come up and show how they can help execute their plans better.

Avesh, Arshdeep all are leaking runs at 9 p.o. Unadkut is leaking at 10.5 per over, even Bhuvi must be more than 9 and all of them (except Arshdeep) hasn't even picked up truckloads of wickets. Yet Tyagi is on bench and they are playing for respective franchises.

GT can play Nalkande without any performance, but won't play the above.

Think Sushant is way too erratic to be even considered.  Tyagi's omission is definately puzzling.

Listening to Indian commentators in both international cricket and domestic cricket, there seems to be a fear in them that quick bowlers will get hit if from their team. It is ingrained in their psyche to distrust Indian quicks at the earliest opportunity and be afraid of the foreign quicks at the same time.

It is like 2nd nature to them.

Do not think Sushant has any case right now, but Tyagi is losing time rather quickly he is been in Ind cricket circuit for a long time now.

Its his 3rd/4th IPL team none has trusted him, after 1st season he has played less than 5 games per season.  Think he has the the ingredients to be good fast bowler but he has not played much domestic cricket to know more though rated highly here by some.

This season in SMAT he clocked 150 kmph some social media said he bowled one at 161 kmph- not sure if thats true.

GT has trusted  Johnson over him 2 years back Johnson was not even the part of Aus cric set-up, yes he is tall LAF and in helping condition or when he is closcking 145+ kmph regularly he well be a wkt taker but till now there has nothing to show for.

Assume that says most of it an Ind player coming from all set of age group and domestic cricket is sitting out for washed -out players, retiring players, low potential players and an Intnl player who was not even the part of their set-up 2 years back.

Either Tyagi is not good enough or/and is inured or/and team do not trust his abilities or/and all set-ups does not like bowlers like him.

Tyagi is the same guy who defended 4 runs in an IPL match and he is not getting any matches.

That too against

Aiden Markram

Nicolas Pooran

Deepak Hooda

Fabian Allen

Most of the T20 death bowlers will piss in pants if they have to defend even 10 runs against Markram and Nicolas Pooran.
