Yeah, he looks calm on the field..but he simply don't have any idea about the pitch and team composition. I don't think he can be the captain for Indian Cricket in future. For starters, he calls genuine quick bowlers medium pacers lol.

He seems quite knowledgeable and aware about the game as an analyst/commentator. Plus I can’t emphasize this enough. He absolutely loves quick bowling. We need a coach who can instill confidence in our genuine quicks regarding their skills along with teaching them the art of taking wickets and not just bowl fast but bowl to take wickets.

It's just the terminology that's in use for fast bowlers from the grass root level in India.

From what I’ve seen of him as an analyst, he’s way smarter than most former players both established, and also ones that had an okayish career. He was a quick bowler but that doesn’t mean he can’t impart the other skills. Who do u want, some like Munaf Patel? Mosher 1

Anyone with an iota of brain won’t call a 150 plus bowler a medium pacer. Doesn’t matter what he’s conditioned with. Especially when the interviewer specifically talked about the pace. Bcci contract part is good not the NCA part..why they cant give dedicated/specialized fitness/medical expert and dieticians for express pacers we dont hv too many express bowling 1
