Rabada, in the 12th year of his career after debut, has bowled 3 balls above 153 kph today. And these are not his usually speeds.

Impressive !

3 balls above 153 is very impressive

I think Bumrah is older than Rabada. Plus, I think he is conserving himself in T20's.I am ok with Bumrah not going out and out in meaningless T20's, and giving his best in overseas Test matches.

Need to see about Ashok. If he has just been rested or they dont want a genuine quick. If that's the case, its sad. Thats how you break a fast bowler

Bumrah and Rabada, 2 modern ATGs, are at similar stages in their careers and generally bowl similar speeds in test matches. [ 135 k to 145 k / 147 k ].

And both have struggled with multiple injuries like most pacers.

But while Rabada is trying to up his pace at age 30 and has bowled upto 153.6 kph in this IPL and 148 k+ regularly,  Bumrah has not even crossed 145 kph, fastest of 144.6 kph and generally trying to stay below 140 k.

Bumrah is probably the more pragmatic bowler ... but I find Rabada's approach more exciting. And sports is all about excitement and enjoyment.

Bumrah has awkward action and sufferd multiple strees factures. Maybe he saving himself for test matches

Either they feared rcb might break him or they lost trust in him after 26 run over vs tilak

Generally we don't know how to train quick bowlers or develop them or maintain their quality or encourage them.

We certainly don't know how to handle genuine pacers ,create an uncertain, insecure environment for them

We have lost most number of high pace bowlers than any country in last 5-6 years ,most nations would have turned 1 or 2 out of them into worldclass bowlers

As I wrote, it is a pragmatic approach by Bumrah.

While Rabada's approach is more exciting to watch, given the fact that he too has struggled with serous injuries in a 11+ year long career.

All os bowlers are cranking-up the pace -- Rabada, Nortje, Hazelwood, Archer.. etc all are cranking up pace which they did till v.recently , can be sum of multiple things.

But one thing is that all the os players are watching that Ind t20 batting has transformed and os batter are not the prefered choices in major role, and now there are multiple 140-144 kmph Ind domestic bowlers and there are few like Ashok, Tyagi and Myank bowling 145+kmph so these OS bowlers have to being something else and be the point of diff so they are also pushing at bit

Hope Murali Kartik is keeping note and reads it out in Mukesh's next game

Nah everytime he comes I hear.. he is a very clever operator, very accurate type of bowler from Sunny g , Anjum and co and Kartik might call him a domestic giant next up
