Who is the best No.3 in the world. (SENA)

Given that in the last 2 years there is not much Test match action i have made it a 5 year window. I suppose KW & Marnus are the top contenders.

CORRECTION

AWAY has SENA filter. AWAY everywhere.

Why are Kane/Labu not there at all in away list?

Originally i used SENA filter. Forgot to remove it. here is the updated away record in the last 5 years.  Williamson averages 34 . 8 points less than Pujara. Labu hardly batted outside. I  won't say Smith is the best no.3 as he is not a no.3. Only in certain scenarios he bats there.

NOt quiet the standard we have now.

They also feasted on dross pitches, no DRS & umps generally not giving anything out unless it was hitting the middle of middle  :cantstop:

Kane is a technically solid player with odd issue with his attempt to run down to third man. Pujara is never going to reach the level of Dravid.  Marnus vs Ponting. No contest. Kallis was a rock solid batsman against any type of bowling.

All those batsmen from ancient era would struggle vs modern bowling greats.

Bowling is much superior now.

How? Ishant played through both eras. He is doing well only now.

Because he matured and hit his prime now??

He also plays with an ATg bowling attack now.

That makes SMith superior to Tendulkar,  Lara.  It is something to do with woeful technique of modern day batsmen with the exception of a few. Back in the day India would have never lost a Test due to a bowler like Moeen Ali.

Why not west indies - its not that scoring is like walk in park there. Holder, gabriel , roach is a good attack at their home and they use dukes ( not sure currently)
