maniac Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 2 left arm chinamen bowlers. Kuldeep was supposed to be the next big star spinner for India, had a tremendous run and then saw decline Shamsi on the other hand has been around for a while but now he is the no.1 T20 spinner in the world. stats wise and body of work wise Kuldeep is way ahead however watching Shamsi bowl recently he might be a handful in UAE in WT20. Can Kuldeep be given another chance or is Shamsi the next big mystery spinner. Who will have a better career going forward?
Lone Wolf Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 Sandakan I thought had massive potential bowls at good pace & his googly dips & can beat batsman in flight. Kuldeep has lost confidence & barely able to land the ball in same spot. Shamsi has improved leaps n bounds. These three are the prominent left arm wrist spinners currently. The Afghan one hasn't played much. maniac 1
Ankit_sharma03 Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 Was thinking on same lines of making a thread on them. Shamsi has improved massively IPL contract on the way as well, MI shud target him maniac 1
Lord Posted July 8, 2021 Posted July 8, 2021 as a wrist spinner you need to be mentally tough which Kuldeep isnt.Needs to work on it. Shamsi is nothing special though

Its an era of poor batsmen against spin and yet he's not well vs England and India, two top teams.Rest are rubbish. And that's just T20. In ODIs his record is average still. I suppose he'll be picked up in IPL next year. Will be interesting,as he was rubbish last time he played for RCB Still well ahead of current Kuldeep though.
Sean Bradley Posted July 23, 2021 Posted July 23, 2021 (edited) Both are Trash, Shamsi is better on current form. Edited July 23, 2021 by Sean Bradley Lord 1

What has changed ?? His lengths n control. He is in the slot most times where batsman doesnt knw if to go on front foot or back. Earlier it was 1-2 good balls and then filth. If u see the video comparison n notice the diff starts from run. Shamsi is relaxed n in rhythem . Kuldeep also bowled against trash sl but wass hardly effective

WI generally dont play thier full side due to disputes and all.Even Kuldeep has done well vs them IIRC

He has good form on his side but he ain't that special. Teams like England Australia will put him to sword. That being said he is surely not the worst out there.
