As far as i know its not like cricket where you come on the day to see rain. If there is forecast they may not bring anyone to the ground and just declare the day void. Question is will they declare both saturday and sunday void and announce closure..

I am amazed by how well Brazil and Cuba does so well. Cuba I get it , small country and boxers, but Brazil is pretty big, huge population under the poverty mark, favellas but still such good performance..

They had a boost from hosting the last Olympics ... good facilities and preparation. Their big story was a lady winning the all-round Gymnastics silver and gold in one of the individual events. First time ever they've medalled. 

 

That said they have a good sporting culture.

Italy has a strong walking culture I suppose. Italian lady along with the Chinese leading.
