I have seen players often remove the ball from a spot and put a marker there. Isn't it possible to cheat like this? As in put the marker a few inches on either side for some reason to benefit your chance in the next shot....

 

Do pro-players use this (golf cart?) to go from one place to the next on larger courses? Or is it just for amateurs and old people? 

Types of clubs. 

 

Driver. This is usually used to hit hard at the tee. Usually helps to get the ball to the furthest distance from the starting pt. 

 

Woods. There are usually 3 woods. These are typically played on the course although on smaller holes you can tee off with them. Used for long to mid range distances

 

Irons.. There are 6 to seven clubs made of iron.. Typically used for mid range to short range distances

 

Putter for putting on the green

 

Sand wedge for hitting the ball from a sand trap or bunker

 

Pitching wedge usually used for short distances from close to the flag in the rough

 

Usually around 12 to 15 clubs in the bag

Golf carts are typically not used in pro play.. Golfers like to walk to get a feel of the course

If the water lands in water you lose one stroke additionally to get it to the nearest shore.
