Nole post 2016 benefited from weak era.

Post 2018 you mean. He had a severe elbow injury problem, kept him out of title contention for almost 1.5 years. Roared back into slam race in Wimbledon 2018.

Still had to go through Nadal, Thiem, Fed, de Potro in most of his trophy wins.

Man these modern era players are useless. This gen sucks so bad. Useless talent. Just tall fodders with poor coordination. Zverev is the only decent one

Thiem is good. Tsitsipas, Medvedev will be multi-slam winners. Another gen coming up, some good prospects there. The Nishikori-Raonic-Dimitrov-Goffin gen was the real letdown.

Discuss throw format

The competition exists out of two separate rounds. In the qualification, each competitor gets three attempts to throw a discus as far as possible. After three attempts, the twelve best performance advance to the final, including athletes tied for twelfth place. In the final, the qualified athletes once again get three attempts to reach as far as possible, but contrary to the qualification, the eight best-placed athletes get another three attempts. The athlete with the farthest throw wins the event.”

kamalpreet Kaur is also part of this same event with Seema Punia and will be eying for ine of the 12 spots to qualify

Yea true. Who out of three played vs the toughest field overall in your opinion?

Might say federer actually.

Because nole was a beast even in 2007 etc.

Regardless though, nole is the best ever for sure.

Federer created Nole and Rafa, and not the other way around. I realize Djokovic will go on to become the champion with most slams but better we don’t compare. Federrer for

me will remain greatest but I have come to understanding that now it doesn’t mattsr and useless to compare greats.

Daymn Punia throws a good one here and jumps to number 3 in her group with 60.57 as her highest attempt. She has one more throw ledt to improve that score.

Her pb is 63.72. Enough for silver. She threw thst 2 month ago

Nole had it the toughest, when he emerged on the scene there were two well established giants in Federer and Nadal, he had to overcome both of them at their peak and prime. Others gave up but the Serb kept fighting those 2 fearlessly, initially he suffered more defeats than wins but never stopped trying, reinvented his game/fitness to turn the course of those rivalries. Also add Murray, Wawrinka. 2008-16 depth of field was the toughest IMO and Nole won the most. So many of his slams he had to go through Fed, Nadal, 2 other GOAT contenders. Also bad luck, he would always be in Federer's half in HC slams and Nadal's half in RG. Consistently faced the toughest draws while Nadal had so many easy draws, Fed in between.

Federer could be greatest in terms of raising the bar post Sampras.

Best ever is nole. That's the reality. He just took it to next level.

I see your point though. Everyone had different peaks across eras. Play different players. Nole benefiting a bit from weak era post 2018. So did Federer until 2006 from 2003.

At the absolute peaks nole is the best ever though. Just untouchable.
