Guys in good form need to step up (Ind in Eng 2021)

If that's the benchmark, Pant as wicketkeeper has already done well in both of tours of Australia. 

 

Remember he was the one who scored unbeaten 80+ to win Gabba test, even the openers whom you love to blame - Gill scored 97 while Pujara was contend with 50s. Pant scored 97 in Sydney test and was top scorer. On top of that his wicket keeping was good. 

 

Pant has already met expectations of good form. 

 

For KL and Rohit, let them play for 11 years and 15 and then complain. 

 

 

We are only discussing the guys who are supposed to be in good form (ones mentioned in OP)
 

As for Pujara, In SENA, he picked up after his 100 in Eng in 2018. Following it up with a 500+ runs series, helping Ind win a series for the first time on the Aus soil. If India get a history making series, that is worth more than 15 Mumbai lobby type of series

Who said pant etc are in good form? This is the clasic case of strawman, build up a strawman yourself which nobody even claimed and then try to destroy it yourself

Who said other guys are in poor form! They aren't in poor form. They have just past it.  They are not doing well even when openers are averaging damn good 54 this series. Means they are seeing off 15-20 overs on averaging. Any other middle order like Australia would have been piling on runs after such a good start.

Based on various formats including last series, IPL, etc. I do not need anyone to tell me who is in good form.
 

This thread is about urging those in relatively good form to make the best of their time. Have a great series.

Whatever tags you many want to use for others is not a concern as the discussion is about those in good form making the most of it.
