Vikrant Gupta said the same..  Indian players are not keen to play the game as it may affect IPl participation.  Overall the attitude has been Pathetic..  BCCI should punish both Shastri & Kohli.

Will be very interesting game if that happens.  Both teams may have to mentally adjust themselves rapidly. 

Robinson & Anderson got extra day's rest so they won't complain.  But so did Bumrah so hopefully he gets to play as well.

Ager yeh Test nahi ho sakta toh IPL ko bhi postpone karo. Sit at home , safe with family , take a month long break and assemble directly for the T20 WC ahead. 

 

If the players don't want to play this Test ,then they shouldn't even bother about playing the IPL either. 

 

How ridiculous it would be if the players don't want to play this Test but would be representing their IPL teams on time next week. All fear and safety concerns vanished all of a sudden.

Maybe I'm clueless but what will waiting for 2 days accomplish?  Why is our team reluctant to wrap up this series which is what it seems like ?

Meanwhile, it has been reported that a senior player of the team did not want to take the field on Friday, September 10. Notably, Yogesh Parmer tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday, after that many questions were raised on whether the 5th match will be commenced or not.

 

However, the ECB chairman Tom Harrison is trying to have a talk with the senior player and address his concerns. Other than one high-profile player all the other members of the team are in favor of the match get started.

If nothing gets sorted between the player and the board and if the player’s family wants him to withdraw, then The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will simply rest the player for that match.

Players health is more important. Some players could already have Covid and the reports may not even show it. Cricket is not life/death, its just a game.

 

I think the test should be called off.

Ok fine.. don’t take actions without the care for consequences. Let BCCI pay ecb the lost revenue with the cancelled match finish the series with india as winners. I mean there is a price for negligence and the coach/captain antics need to have a price. Postponing a single test to next year is a joke and pointless.
