For starters these morons should not be announcing a tactic like this.

 

Secondly it means Kishan will NOT play instead of Hardik now. Terrible decision.

If Kohli intends to play Pandya it would have been more of a surprise to bowl him then to announce it for NZ to prepare for him. He could have got away with an over or two bowled economically.

Any team unless they are Kohli & co. would have a plan for Hardik especially when he is supposed to be an allrounder, even though he isn't bowling.

 

The problem isn't they are advertising the tactic, the problem is how effective his bowling will be? He isn't in top shape is obvious, even if he was, he is bowling after a long time that too in a must win game. Playing an inform Kishan is a better play, but Kohli & co seem to be in a power trip to prove their selections right. Time will tell how this is going to end.

Pandya at best will contribute 2 overs. Anything less than 10 rpo is good, he will bat at 7 and bat 2 overs. Hopefully that is enough to balance out things.
