Frustrated Posted November 4, 2021 Posted November 4, 2021 What do u expect from captain clown who does not even bother coming to the press conference after humiliating defeats?

I am shocked he even picked Ashwin for this match. There is some under current. Any unbiased captain would have recognized Ashwin is at his very best. Even in the warm up, Rohit was the one who captained match where Ashwin had a double strike inside powerplay. In the TC final Ashwin was the only one that looked like taking wickets. He doesn't have to prove anything in IPL anymore. Even this season his ER was not bad. He wet only on 7.41 Ashwin picked 2 and Shami and Ishant 7 in WTC final first innings which actually mattered.

As much as he delved into the nuances of the game, Ashwin said making peace with circumstances around his non-selection in white-ball cricket, without losing the hustle, helped him find a way to evolve. "I believe life is a circle, for some people it's a small one, for some it's large," he said. "It's definitely not in our hands. For me, understanding patterns in my life and career is something I've done very well over the last couple of years. Whenever I've had a very good s stretch of form, I've had deep trenches, some very long periods of lull which I don't want to read too much into. That's a pattern I've embraced. IOW, I blame Kohli for not selecting me on purpose.

How many overs Ash bowled lol? He barely got a chance to bowl. Would like to see their SR. Let me check. https://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?class=1;opposition=5;spanmax1=01+Jul+2021;spanmin1=01+Jun+2021;spanval1=span;team=6;template=results;type=bowling 37 SR compared to seamers who striked at 55, 62 and 92. Lets check first innings SR 45 SR. Bumrah no wicket. Ishan 50 SR. Shami 39 SR.

The reality is pacers looked toothless before Ash struck. Then Shami went on a rampage next day. Then all pacers chipped in with wickets towards the end. Vijy 1

He either clicks big or goes completely missing. He went missing against NZ in almost all the Tests. I honestly did not expect Shami to do well there. I wanted SIraj there. He definitely surprised me in that test. With so much rain around they could have gone with 4 seamers and Ashwin. But since we have a longish tail we made a compromise. I don't mind Jaddu losing his batting skills a bit if only he can improve his bowling. We have become a team that relies on defending low scores as top order/middle order is underperforming big time. In order to cover their pathetic form they kept picking Jaddu who did zilch with bat. sensible-indian and Vijy 2
