We indians will react when these playere will lose few badly while playing like as you mentioned.. free flowing.. our media will create a circus.. vikrant gupta will scratch his beard and say yeh kya kar diya.. kya zaroorat tha.. akash chopra will say you cannot just play like that.. you have to think about the situation.. gambhir will say india didnt play smart cricket..and there will be huge criticism of the andha dhun batting which will put ayushman khuranas acting to shame.. and this will create pressure on these free flowing batsmen and they ll then in next match start tuk tuk first two overs.. thats the reason..we are not england.. we are not like english cricket fans.. who ll forgive or rather forget these matches and see the bigger picture.. till we dont mature like them india will always be extra careful TILL they are back to the walls and then once in blue moon you ll see two matches like the last two t20s india played against england.. its a vicious cycle and circle.. In short, India lacks a sports culture, loves safety, and prefers to stick to old ways until there is no option but to change: neel roy 1
GautiMaan Posted November 14, 2021 Posted November 14, 2021 Why stop with agressive openers, need of the hour is to fill the team with hitters who can change the game with cameos. Look at our own t20 victory, did we take ATG Sachin to South Africa..we took the Uthappa's and Yusuf's and they got the job done along with Yuvi and Gambhir.

Warner strike rate was under 100 inside power play. He picked up only later. You need to have 7 batsmen all of whom are capable of producing 20 run overs. raki05 and SRT100 1 1
Vijy Posted November 17, 2021 Posted November 17, 2021 Shaw is our best bet. I hope he is given a long run. Yes, he does have major issues, but I think he can fix them if given proper guidance and encouragement. More than his batting, however, the real issue is his fitness and fielding. raki05 1
