Which ones? https://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/records/229904.html Record #1 : 96 Test wickets in a calendar year ( 2005 ) Warne played as many as 15 test matches in 2005 to accomplish this....which is almost 6.4 wickets per match. It is an extraordinary number. England does play 13 odd test matches per year these days - yet it will take an absolute freak once in a lifetime performance to beat 96 test test wickets in a calendar year. Murali has gotten closest with 90 test wickets....he did it in a mere 11 test matches in 2006. Record #2 : Warne is the highest wicket taker in a calendar year for 8 years. The closest again is Murali - he managed it 6 times. Ashwin has done it 4 times ( highest from India ).... Bhajji and Kumble have done it 3 times. sensible-indian, Cricspin, New guy and 2 others 2 2 1 Link to comment

Also MoM in SF & finals in 99 There is a reason why even among Australians there's no peer to Warne but Lillee is ranked higher than Pidge! HamHindustani 1 Link to comment

Crazy. 96 will remain foreover unbeaten. Record 2 too will stay most probably. Link to comment

Lillee should not be ranked higher than McG, who has an excellent Asia record. In the case of Lillee, his record was poor and he opted several times not to play in SC. Lillee was still an ATG, but McG was more consistent and penetrative for a longer period of time. As for Warne, people who watched O'Reilly and Warne said the former was better. However, the time gap is so large that we cannot compare across eras. Warne is certainly the best leg spinner of post-WW2 era. putrevus and kohli 1 1 Link to comment
