Humiliate them please. Thanks. Jansen is good but he can be worked out. Novelty factor wore off for kylie jammu.

We will be better prepared for Jansen next time we tour. 3 stooges gifted wickets to him.

What prepared.NZ makes the same mistakes that we did. Getting gloved down the leg side. Chasing wide balls. If they had Vernon Philander instead of these guys he would have run through. Movement was always there. But these guys were unable to etract much. Sipamla was able to move. But marginal. KG bowled well. But bouncers don't really go that high. We have to stop including N in SENA lol These pitches can be more docile than Rajkot some times.

Over confidence..  Even a draw would be enough to make NZ lose out dearly on WTC points.

This is most docile pitch I have seen in Hagley Oval in last few years.  They probably thought Saffers will roll over.  Same mistake like we did in Joburg test this year after win in centurion.

Sipamla is Okayish but Ngidi being injured has probably hurt SA here.  There is Nortje as well.

SA tour of Aus this year will be watchable if Nortje Jansen Rabada Ngidi all stay fit.

ngidi injury was bad yes. huge loss. he destroyed our useless middle 3 in s.africa. But then our middle 3 in s.africa were our worst players who should never played in the first place. Pensioner club. SA got lucky. wont be so lucky next time. we will put out our full strength team without a dud captain like kuli kali.

Jansen is going places. Relentless short bowling. He is making this happen> Not the Ishant sharma type of short balls. 138 kph balls. After giving trouble to both CDG and KJ finally nailed KJ

Yes. But remember still a novelty factor. Our useless middle order made him look like a God. He is good but not that good yet.

India A did well against him. If we had our best middle order we could have probably won the series vs saffers.

S.africa are missing ngidi. Poor bowling to let them get to 293 tbh. They can still win it however.

Elgar gone cheaply yet again when his team needed him the most.   Is he still missing the indian bowlers?

He got lucky vs India many times. They beat him so many times. Hurt him plenty. He was lucky siraj injury fatigued our bowling.

Had prasidh played, he would have undressed his chaddi with the bounce.

SA 38/3.   Lead by 109.    Test is moving towards an exciting finish (likely)

Yes. Not sure how difficult chasing is in n.z. but team that bowls first usually has the advantage. Anything less than 220 is chaseable here I guess. From past history, many teams don't score 300 plus in first innings so I am guessing this is a flat pitch.

Sometimes in NZ 4th innings tends to be the easiest innings to bat on. But SA will be relentless. They have variety of bowlers.

i agree but in this pitch given its nature, i still think saffers may have enough to beat kiwis. will be surprised to see saffers lose if they get a lead of over 250. jansen can bat. indian keshav can bat. they bat till number 9. not bad at all.

Saffers so far have done everything right.  India also took first inns lead of mere 7 runs  here(could have been 50-60 if not for KJ)..  SA didn't let that happen.

They also had a mini collapse in 2nd whereas we were totally rolled over.  Overall SA has a better chance right now.  If they get to 300 lead they will win.
