He was a good test captain for NZ in his times. It would be interesting to see the England test cricket approach under McCullum- Stokes leaderships.

I think ecb over time want to create seperate white ball and test teams. 

 

Given the demands of schedules its not feasible for players to be away from families for long periods.

 

India too will reach this stage. Its more of a business call to keep playing as much cricket as possible and also maintain mental health.

 

There are rumours that stokes will quit odis and focus only on test and wc t20 cricket.

 

Feel likes of kohli and rohit need to do the same sooner or later. 

 

Its a shame pujara and rahane had a dip in form. Else we could have 7 to 8 test only regulars. Imagine odi team playing in zim and bd etc while main test series going on vs Aus or England. That is the dream of the big three.
