A discussion with poll added on one of my posts:

A dramatic scenario (ignore NRR) is where 3 (not one, not two, but three) independent events have to go a team's way. At this point, a couple of dramatic scenarios are prominent:

a) DC finishing in top 2

  • Event 1: KKR beats LSG
  • Event 2: CSK beats RR
  • Event 3: DC beats MI

In case "a", the 4 teams would be - GT, DC, RR, & LSG

b) KKR sneaking it to the playoffs (Some other teams are in a similar position but using KKR here as a) its NRR is positive, and b) Eliminator is in Kolkata)

  • Event 1: GT beats RCB
  • Event 2: KKR beats LSG
  • Event 3: MI beats DC

In case "b", the 4 teams would be - GT, RR, LSG, & KKR

Will one of the two events occur or the current favorites DC or RCB will make it to 3-4? Poll closes before the DC v MI game on May 21st.

the KKR one. Gangu might try to pull some strings (vis-a-vis, e.g., pitches)

KKR only has one game remaining and that too at DY Patil. A positive for KKR is that it is playing LSG which can crack under pressure esp. when chasing.

RCB plays GT, which can be a tough game for any team. It is a night game at Wankhede where toss can play a role. But DK has been good at Wankhede, therefore RCB ….  DC plays MI at Wankhede too in a night game. MI has won a few games here (esp. if it wins the toss).

Supporting RR this season due to Hetmyer.

Gujarat top order is non likeable, Lucknow will eventually choke in playoffs and won't support Delhi this season for their poor antics.

Hopefully, RR beat CSK and get a top 2 finish.

RR (The Wild Wild West) is definitely a good team to support ... The double B - Buttler & Boult!

What's the scenario for PBKS or SRH to qualify?

Read the other thread referenced in the OP where those things are discussed

what is scenario for bambis to not get wooden spoon?

win by how much and hope csk lose by how much?

If CSK beats RR, MI will get the wooden spoon.

If CSK loses to RR, depending upon the margin of loss, MI will have to win big versus DC to avoid wooden spoon. Based on current scenario, MI would need to win by a margin that is in the region of 97 runs.

PS also DC will not finish in top 2 … DC will fight for the 3-4 place with some of the other teams
