one of the best white ball captain. He left a legacy of changing white ball culture in England cricket

Also their was a myth that floated around him that he use to just follow dressing room instruction which was crap coz many times everyone around him cleared that those are just suggestion ultimately he does what he wants and a lot of time he went with instinct n match situation that data may not account for .

As a batsman despite his limitation against short ball he did pretty well

Revolutionized LOI cricket for England and made cricket interesting and exciting to watch. Was a devastating batsman as well in his pomp. Remember the mauling of Rashid in the 2019 WC? It's a shame his batting form deserted him in the last couple of years to the point of being a constant distraction and a millstone around his team's neck. His career deserved a better ending and send off but that's how sport is. Farewell exits are not a guarantee no matter how great a sportsman is.

It is like Sachin, he played in era when Indian odi batting was crap so he looked better than he acutally was in reality. Morgan became captain when England was at the its lowest point losing to Bangladesh.Reality is he lost all important matches as a captain to inferior teams and was extremely lucky to win that one match. It is all about perception.
