Ofcourse it obviously does - a much larger talent pool to build your team. Probability of better talent emerging from a large talent pool. Simple law of large numbers.

Unless you are implying that we are relatively "untalented".

Ofcourse, how that talent is polished and cultivated to world class level is the next step.

You have a very simplistic take on talent, it's like mumbai dominating ranji trophy ,which means there are no talents outside mumbai.

Huh ? thats your own logic so please attribute it to yourself. I never insinuated that/

One has to be intellectually dishonest to disagree that India has not massively underachieved as a cricketing nation.

There is alot of talent outside major metros .....like MS Dhoni came from the small town of Ranchi...there is a alot more such talent in India ...thats slips through the net because of inefficiencies and inadequacies in our system.

That's what you were implying all along by attributing and expecting success primarily due to large population.

They used to have a forum. I don't think it is not there anymore. Seems like Bangla fans are slowly giving up on them.

they should stop wasting their time on that useless team and focus on more useful things like climate change, which could potentially eff them up royally

Toygers would never be good at cricket.  Yet they continue to spend most of their time and energy by mocking Indian team.   According to some reports, nearly half of their population celebrated Ind's WC2023 Final defeat on the streets at mid night.  LOL.   Not sure if they realise their sh!tty test team has been whitewashed 0-2 (that too at home) by every other asian team (except Afghanistan) in last 3 yrs.

they don't care. their team is so bad that their energy is focused on other teams: india (hate), pak (romantic luuurve), SL (sibling luuurve turned to hate), gora nations (slavish luuurve), etc

BD players and fans seem to have such a massive chip on their shoulder.

So much so that if they actually start to win more, I think their celebrations and on -field behaviour will go from the current cringe / comic/ ugly to the downright ugly.
