More to do with Pandya's return as he was used as a filler. But i would back him over Shreyas Iyer in T20 format atleast.

Pandya is poor man version of Pathan when it comes to six hitting.

yes that was always going to happen but its just not that ,

• its clear that they dont trust his bowling
• In a squad u can only fill limited number of all rounder so even as a backup all rounder he is competing with Axar, sundar and all these guys. Not role but one slot in 15-16 squad 

 

Shreyas has TM faith , Venky clearly didnt earn it. A player who ll earn TM trust will always be backed more and if they are not backing his batting also means they dont even trust that much

also his runs just came against WI, that attack is worth not taking that srsly ..........rather draw conclusion on IPL which test u more then WI team and in IPL his s.r is 120............even in good season it was 128

at times data needs to digged a lil deeper 

 

Rather Axar hitting in recent WI series more seriously.............coz those are not easy wkts for batsman coming in late as by the time pitches get slow and timing gets harder

In IPL you can do a lot of trundler bashing as well. I think promoting him to open again kinda messed up his flow. He was batting in the middle for India. was batting in the middle in Vijay Hazare Trophy.  If we strictly take IPL seriously lot of these guys won't be playing.

Also just becoz some bowls at lower speed doesnt mean they can be smashed. Umran, kuldeep, saini all have been smashed in IPL 

 

Poor Line n length gets smashed not extra or less pace. WI generally struggle with that which his one sample of WI series shudnt be taken this srsly

its not sticking to IPL its about choosing the data that gives better picture. 

IPL is more challenging then this WI side .

Pant's strike rate in internationals is very poor after a good size of samples. He shouldn't even be in consideration. Some might do better in internationals. Some might do better in the IPL.

pant has failed in international t20 but u back the enormous talent he has..................

Yusuf was a beast man... Played an ATG inns that decider in Newlands in 2011.  Smashing Peak Steyn Morkel.  Genuine power hitter.  What we wouldn't give to have someone like him right now.
