Trundler will always be a trundler. I don't think it is the speed that was the issue. If anything knuckle balls were ideal for this pitch. Problem was Kumar bottled totally seeing how batsmen moved around the crease. He didn't t rust himself to bowl yorker. Instead resort to pie length balls. wide balls. Jay 1

A 10 km speed difference would be enough. At the end of the day these variations work only when you are spot on with your delivery. If you bowl a 150 kph wide ball and bowl a 120 kph half volley in the next ball you are still likely to disappear.
vvvslaxman Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 This pitch was a sluggish pitch. Ball was just sitting up. You should have realized that when our top 3 out of the blue started playing aggressively. That was a tell tale sign. It is incredible how SkY, Pant, Pandya missed out on such a good batting wicket.

Yesterday playing pace was easy on the pitch, their pacers who bowl at higher pace went for more runs. Hardik who is our quickest went for most . Rohit stepped out and smacked naseem shah , nawaz and rizwan wkts came on slower ball deceptions

IF he is **** then how **** are they that their best is still worst then his worst

Even that extra pace wont magically turn bad ball into good Pandya bowled wrong length acc to this pitch which was right lengths on previous Ind-pak game so he got hit around, length adjustment led his failure . Need to adjust acc to pitch and opposition

Most of their wickets were due to cutters.
Sandz Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 So how did the Pakistani speed merchants fare yesterday? Not so good, should their careers be ending as well?

I think this thread was not started for his bowling. He was one of the better fast bowlers from both sides. It was the dropped catch and his subsequent reaction was not really welcome by Indian fans.
Mesky99 Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 Okay bowler, you will get safe 4 overs 28-32 runs performances from him with max two wickets, the squad selection was completely off track and the selectors have themselves to be blamed, not trying out bowlers with potential and pace but going for the safe route is never gonna work, Siraj would have hurried three average Pak batsmen, they virtually have zero techniques bar Babar, tyagi, Sen, umran, Mohsin are all far of selection. express bowling 1

Im ready to talk about bhuvi position but give me an archer-shaheen-bumrah to keep him out . But then even someone like shaheen with his pace fcked up in t20 Wc with slot balls to wade.

It is good to have variation in attack. But it is also important to be adaptable to conditions. It is disappointing such an experienced bowler like Bhuvi getting off put by batsmen's movement.
coffee_rules Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 Poor fellow is being trolled by fans as a Khalistani. They see one catch, middle overs mein from over #9 to #15 overs, in 7 overs Chahal and company gave 70 runs, without losing a wicket. Colossal bowling failure.
