the don
I think a line up of babar, rizwan and masood will ensure there are no collapses. All good players of pace. Chacha ifti is known as a good hitter of pace in domestic, slightly dissapointed that Dahani did not make the main side.his style suits Australia. Link to comment

This Wc will be a 180 total one which means 200+ in bilateral (reduce 20 runs in Pressure tournaments) Babar n co are kind of limited when it comes to exploding, they rely on their middle order among which i have my doubts on shadab, khushdil in terms of attacking against high pace. If you compare guys like Kohli-Rohit-KL they have a great range against pace n they ll go in a different gear in last 5 , babar n co doesnt have the range against pace like those 3 Link to comment

Probably he didn't do anything wrong. He is a feisty guy. Good option to bowl inside power play. Link to comment

He is one of the most underrated PP bowlers in t20 Aussie wkts will also suit his kind of bowling and they play India whose top 3 he can easily tie . An eco of 6.33 + batting ability.............the guy has to find a place in squad Link to comment
First class
13 hours ago, vvvslaxman said: That is also an illogical selection. You are going to play at most 4. Anymore will dilute the batting which is already garbage. They are yet to cross 150 score in Australia. With huge weakness against short balls entire line up can be folded for under 100 once Babar/Riz are out. That's right, the batting is shamefully weak and three jokers of a batsman, Khushdil, Iftikhar and Asif are selected again after their failure at Asia Cup again. These three are particularly weak against fast short pitched deliveries . Shaan Masood is a welcome addition , very good player of fast bowling and might end up the highest scorer, ahead of Babar and Rizwan. Babar will score many runs in Australia , he is good on those kind of wickets , Rizwan too. Link to comment

Presence of Shaheen/Hasnain & Naseem means he will not get new ball. outside PP, Nawaz is more useful as he actually spins the ball. While Usman Qadir is back-up for Shadab. I think Shadab had injury scare in last stages of Asia Cup. Usman also has experience of playing in Australia. Link to comment

Need4Speed
IFFFFF Shaheen is fit enough to play..and hits his rythm..which takes time after injury and match practice..then..Naseem + Shaheen+Rauf..will give some comfort to Babar and he may not feel rushed to score quick so he can score good runs on batting friendly pitches.. Rizwan we will have to see how he fares due to leg side dominant play..and bounce outside of stump may trouble him..may be Shan Masood could give some cushion if Rizwan fails..but Shan may not provide a similar fireppower that Fakar could when in form.. same goes for Naseem..will be interesting to see..how he does in Australian conditions..where ball may come onto the bat much batter..and he may not have enough bounce due to short height.. In that case..Dahani wud have been a great pick in comparison to Wasim Jr..as Dahani cud hv extracted more bounce due to height.. MO looks shaky..for Australian conditions..Nawaz in Dubai batted well..but cant say in Australia..so that cushion may also not be there..Shadab also has to show he can play bounce well.. In short, Shadab and Nawaz made them a stronger batting unit than they are in real..with shaky MO and questions around their bowling alrounders batting in Aussie conditions..this squad doesnt give full confidence.. Other Teams while batting..Initaily can play couple of overs watchfully to negate any initial swing..and then capitalize..to pressure on chasing Pakistan.. if they assess..Naseem is not getting comfortable in Aussie conditions or Shaheen is not at his best after come back..it sgoing to be really tough for Pak.. if they are using Kokaburra ball in Aus..then movement wont last long.. Frustrated
Recently, many videos of ex Pak cricketers criticizing some of their baffling team selections are surfacing. They hv been openly criticizing the selectors and their credentials. Understandably so. On the other hand, ex indian cricketers are completely silent on our **** team selections. All this, despite India' continued shocking performance including getting KOed early in back to back multi-nation tournaments in a space of just 10 months. It seems our ex cricketers don't give a *** to indian cricket anymore or maybe something else? Whatever it is, this silence is more shocking that the team selection itself. T20 is anybody's game, same Shaheen who took wickets against us wet his pants against Wade. BTW...you do know that we have bowlers who are faster than yours, just that our bonehead selectors obsessed with trundlers. But even then Avesh, Pandya and Arshdeep all clocked 140+ against you. So stop cribbing for pace. Edited September 17, 2022 by singhvivek141 Link to comment

So stop cribbing for pace. Yeah enjoy the trash talk. Pakistani bowlers bowled around 200 deliveries over 140 in the asia cup, India was behind srilanka and pakistan both in terms of pace and final standings too. Also Bumrah and Shami played in the world cup game against pak and were slower and less effective then too. Bye. Bump this when you bring some real pacers to the math. Link to comment
