It angers me that Pant won't be part of our first choice T20 WC XI

Besides the point this is going to be last of DK in the internationals. More than likely he will call it quits. Pant will take over.

Will it be a good idea to use Pant against Nawaz and Shadab instead of DK? May be INdia can bring back DK against SA.

Pant had his chances. I'm a big supporter of Pant but 3 formats + IPL will take its toll especially as wicket keeper batsman. Lately, I think his fitness is not upto the mark either. 

 

After this world cup, I would like ishan kishen to be given another go as opener once rohit retires.

id like pant-shaw getting extended run as opener

Kishen i feel wud be better in middle

Pant has a dreadful strike rate against spin in T20Is so he has to either other open or transition into a death overs pace hitter. 

 

Ishan Kishan strikes at 147 against spin compared to Pant's 110 in T20Is.

 

I feel Kishan should have been plating  playing in our middle order in this World Cup itself as a spin hitter

In future kishen can be gud in middle, about this Wc problem was he lost his form badly and he also does have a hard length issue + off spin too . Teams do know these matchups 

Kishen started well but by the time  he lost his place his own s/r was 131 in international 

 

He also will be tested against the wide line in future like pant has, im surprised teams havent tried it on him. In PP u cant so may be they havent but he ll struggle same way like pant has against that wide line

Maybe but I still think Kishan should play because our right handers ate very poor against left arm spin and not a single batsman can take them down. 

 

Even SKY struggles against left arm spin. SR of 117 in T20Is against that type. Ishan as a left hander destroys left arm spin. Small sample size but SR of 179 or something. 

 

Pakistan will hit us with Nawaz and SA with Maharaj.

yea going forward its a major concern, Axar has to come good at this . Thats why aussies tried agar in warmup against us 

kohli has been stepping down against them in last few game another encouraging sign

Look beyond Pant imo.

 

Samson and Kishan have the ability to switch gear after getting set too and that's all you need in T20s.
