Rohit is a walking wicket against a good opening bowler. Rahul is a mental midget who happens to play good looking shots at times. Pandya cannot play hard length pace to save his life. DK is a first class journeyman. Sky is an elite t20 batter who has a slight flaw against the moving ball on off stump. 
Kohli stands tall amongst all and is the biggest Indian hope against the likes of Wood and Fergusson.

Agreed. If I were to rate current India/Pak batsmen against pure pace away from halwa UAE dew wickets etc:

1. Kohli

2. SKY

3. Rohit

4. Ashwin

5. Shan Masood

 

Babar and Rizwan would round off my top 20 I think just ahead of Axar Patel.

Rohit has issues against left arm pacers early in his innings. Kohli plays a different role, he can see off the tough spells while Rohit plays aggressor which does not suit him tbh.

I have noticed this paradox in other discourses between ind and pak as well.  I believe its a function of too much self population seen with a familiarity leading to contempt angle in Indian boisterous right and too much population seen as a means of ummas demographic domination goal acheivement in pakistani boisterous right. Basically current south asian demographic scenario of population dominance over the world irks indian loonies and soothes pak loonies.
